I know George as George has helped me.  I have learned to trust him and his advice.  I like the fact that George is gentle (non-judgmental), realistic (practical), has empathy and gives me hope and, therefore, something to stand on and to carefully work out.                                          

George left some principles with me on getting out of depression. At first they didn't click in but now, a couple of weeks later, it is starting to make sense.
I sensed that I was falling into depression. I listened back to a recording of our prayer. I noticed that I was judging my inner child. I confessed this as a sin. My mind started to think differently - it wasn't God expecting that perfectionism. It was a legalism thing.
I came out of the depression. Now I am hopeful that I am learning tools to deal with depression. I am learning to accept that, as a child, God loves me and not to judge myself.

I was surprised that I could have an encounter with God so easily and that He was so willing to heal me right then, right there. I believe George's faith has been and is instrumental in Listening Prayer Therapy.  It is he who guided me and instructed me in how to listen to God and to have the same faith in what I was experiencing. Now, I know in my heart that God is Love, He loves me, He is on my side and is always there for me.  For my part, I need to be honest with Him and totally open, He does the rest.

Granted, medications helped me to cope somewhat, but I found that masking "the source" of my  emotional stresses would  only allow me to cope with the fight within, to a  degree.  So, I determined to  get George's help through his many years of experience so that I could understand the "sources" and deal with them thus, gain a  freedom which would set me on a path of healings. George is helping me to reach the  goal of being set free from legalism and all that goes with being chained within!

I know that God heals us, if we open up and allow him to clean up our cesspool.  I believe everyone has different amount of stuff in their cesspool, some have more than others.  The Lord starts to strip, operate, remove, work on, change, etc. the Boulders, then the Rocks, then the STONES (ever so getting more and more painful), the dirt, the grit, the grain (as mustard seed (many, many, many of these); we will never be perfect or arrive in our humanness until we meet him in the air); we will be fallible ONLY The Lord is Infallible and Perfect     BUT      in the meantime we can with The Lord help, get healed up from the hurts, pains, disappointments, letdowns, etc., etc. from this life.

If the Lord is doing it for me through counselling with George, The Lord can and will do it for anyone. Individual client, Sept, 2005
